About Arcadia New Media Services

Arcadia New Media Services was founded in 2004 by partners Daniel Salimbene and Jan Eckhard to offer a wide variety of integrated new media solutions. With expertise in integrated digital communications, Arcadia and its network of partners provide multimedia services including motion graphics, a/v consulting + system design, mobile promotions, and various digital consulting services to a host of clients including AEG Live, Nokia, Best Buy Theater, and Baron Funds.

Jan Eckhard

Jan EckhardAs a founding partner of Arcadia New Media Services, Jan Eckhard brings more than 18 years of entertainment production experience, with expertise in multiple areas of audio and video production.

Jan developed his expertise in audio, video and staging equipment for film and TV while at Sony Music Studios. At Sony, he had the opportunity to manage live music television productions for shows such as ‘Sessions at West 54th’, A&E’s ‘Live By Request’, and MTV’s ‘Unplugged‘.

Jan then joined Digital Club Network where he and a small team developed a system to produce live webcasts of concerts from more than 50 music venues across the U.S. and overseas. He also spearheaded an initiative to enhance the quality of archival music recordings, and produced multiple audio and video recordings of live performances including John Legend, Ben Folds and They Might Be Giants, some of which have been released as CDs.

Prior to co-founding Arcadia, Jan started a video production company called Mole Media where he most notably produced a webcast and multi-camera shoot of Al Gore’s speech on global warming prior to the release of ‘An Inconvenient Truth’.

Daniel Salimbene

Daniel SalimbeneDaniel Salimbene, founding partner of Arcadia New Media Services, has been a digital artist for more than 13 years with expertise in motion graphics, digital photography and graphic design.

Prior to the founding of Arcadia, Dan worked for Siemens where most notably, he rebuilt the corporate citizenship intranet website, incorporating tracking systems for Siemens Corporate charitable donations and sponsorships. He also served as a production assistant and camera operator for Digital Club Network (DCN) for such projects as the ‘DCN Downtown’ series. In addition, he served as a video encoding and compression specialist for video delivery on the web.

Dan received his Masters of Communication and Information Studies from Rutgers University in 2004 and has a BA in Communications with a minor in Art History from The College of New Jersey. He has also served as a professor at Rutgers University, teaching basic and advanced multimedia production techniques to graduate students.

Scott Birchler

Scott BirchlerAs a camera operator and video systems technician Scott Birchler has been working in the concert video arena in NYC for eight years. Irving Plaza, The Best Buy Theater, The Gramercy Theater, and Livestream are all second homes for Scott. He specializes in robotic camera systems and remote over IP address cameras for shooting concerts and various special events. Technology and music form a marriage in Scott's life and he is happy and grateful to be part of the Arcadia Media Team.  Check out Scott's Robo Cam Reel.

 


Brian Giannone

Brian GiannoneBrian has been intimately involved with productions of all sizes, from massive big budget features & TV series right down to microscopic independents. This has enabled him to work hands-on in all facets of production, deepening his understanding and experience, both behind-the-scenes and behind a camera.

Brian also directs live concert shoots at Irving Plaza (LiveNation), Best Buy Theater (AEG), and for the website LiveStream.com. He produced the short comedy Me Time, starring former SNL cast member Horatio Sanz. He currently works freelance in the TV / Film production industry.

 


Justin Grazioli

Justin GraziloiJustin is a professional video editor, as well as a promo Writer/Producer. Currently employed by Syfy, he spends his time eagerly anticipating the next Sharktopus sequel. Previous credits include Showtime, where he was employed for four years working in their sports department. With a love for music, but not actual musical talent, combining video production with concerts at the Best Buy Theater is a perfect way to combine two passions.

Justin Reid

Justin ReidJustin Reid has been making videos for 15 years. He began his career scouting locations for films and TV shows in NYC while also producing live music videos and other projects. Justin started Word Up Productions in 2007 to offer clients a broad range of services, including video production, post-production, equipment rentals and more. He is a video director and photographer at the Best Buy Theater in Times Square and the Head of Video Production at Irving Plaza and Gramercy Theater. Justin also teaches a video production course at an elementary school in NYC.

 


Jess Vogt

Jessica VogtJess Vogt is a freelance filmmaker and photographer. She graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA in May 2008, with a BFA in Film and Digital Video and a minor in Photography. She also has taken Continuing Education classes at both the School of Visual Arts and New York University. Jess works at the Best Buy Theater and Arcadia New Media Services in Times Square as a camera operator and technician, and has created a number of marquee pieces for the theater, seen by thousands in the bustling heart of Manhattan. She has worked as a Production Assistant on high-profile sets such as The Dark Knight Rises, The Onion News, and MIB3.
